6.2. System of the consecutive distributed injection (SFI)

In systems of consecutive injection each of 6 (by quantity of cylinders) fuel injectors works at the moment of the beginning of opening of the corresponding inlet valve. Thus, fuel is injected into cylinders according to order of operation of spark plugs.

During start of the engine and in case of refusals the system passes control systems (emergency operation) in a mode of simultaneous injection of fuel in all cylinders of the engine.

The basic components of system SFI are:

  • The Katalitichesky converter of the closed type, system of catching of fuel evaporations (EVAP) and рециркуляции the fulfilled gases (EGR).

By efficiency of functioning the system answers all with requirements of the international standards.   • The gauge of absolute pressure in the inlet pipeline (MAP) informs ECM on loading on the engine, tracing depth of depression in the inlet pipeline;
  • The block of management of system of antiblocking of brakes (ABS) informs ECM on speed of movement of the car;
  • The gauge-switch of a central air of air (at a corresponding complete set) notifies ECM on the fact of inclusion of the conditioner.

The arriving information is processed ECM which then gives out commands of management of ignition and opening of an injector of injection of fuel. Management of an injector occurs by change of width of an operating electric opening impulse that allows to make with the minimum delay updating of structure of an air-fuel mix at change of external factors. Thanks to possibility of such updatings engine return is supported on a maximum level at any stage of functioning of the unit: at start, during warming up, at an acceleration, деселерации and movement with constant speed.

ECM exercises administration also idling turns. Necessary updatings are made by activation of the throttle of the step-by-step electric motor established on the case. The engine on commands ECM makes opening / перекрывание перепускного the channel, in case of need (for example, at closed or being in position of idling throttle заслонке) starting up air bypassing the throttle chamber.

At operation of a control lamp the car should be driven away at the first possibility on firm car repair shop Opel for carrying out of detailed diagnostics with application of the special equipment and performance of necessary regenerative repair.
